Live Sports Streaming

With the internet and new medias mighty rise touching most aspects of our lives, it’s no surprise that the way we watch sports is also changing. There are now a wealth of sports streaming websites that offer the viewer the chance to live stream sporting events from all over the world. You want to watch the ATP tennis tour from Bratislava? That’s fine, maybe horse racing from South Africa, you’ve got that as well. Or perhaps you’d rather live stream with the international football friendly between Iran and Macedonia? No problem, the beauty is we’re just a couple of clicks away from streaming a live sporting event; it’s that simple.
All you need to do is go to the relevant sports streaming site, download any video player software you may require, click on the sporting event you want to watch, and then sit back and enjoy. It’s hard to keep up with all of the sites that offer live sports streaming.

There can be legal issues when it comes to live streaming of several sporting events, such as the FA Premier League coverage being very much a grey area, sites can and do occasionally disappear. This is not a problem, as just like the hydra, when one head is chopped off three more appear in its place, such is the power of the decentralised Internet.

As is our nature at Which sportsbook we are always looking out for the best deals for our visitors and live sports streaming is no exception. We have taken a look around at some of the best sports sites for live entertainment, we are happy to give you an honest assessment and here are a few of our findings:

Bet365 is certainly up there amongst the best, you simply need to sign up with these guys and register an account. You can stick a tenner in your account and leave it for a bet on one of the live streamed events. Bet365 offer a great in-play or in-running markets, which means you can bet on the action, while watching it stream in front of you. If you are thinking of speculating on a few events, Bet365 will throw in up to £200 in free bets.

MyP2P – A fantastic first port of call for all sports fans with clear and user-friendly pages directing you to whichever sport is your fancy, be it badminton or beach football. Basically if there’s a camera at your chosen sporting event then you can bet you’ll find it here, and multiple links listed for the bigger events (such as football matches) will help you find the best quality live sports streaming available. You may need to download some free video player software before you can start watching (such as Sopcast, TVAnts, Media Player, etc) but again this is all very user friendly and only takes a few minutes.

Justin TV – The original Justin TV was a single channel started in 2007 featuring it’s founder, Justin Kan, broadcasting his life 24/7 thanks to a web cam attached to his cap. By the summer of 2007 it had become a platform for more than sixty live sports streaming channels, and over the last year over 90,000 new channels have been created with more than 24,000 events broadcast. Justin TV has hit the news recently due to it’s live streaming of premiership football, with “furious FA and TV chiefs declaring war” on the San Francisco based broadcasters, and Sky and Setanta initiating legal proceedings since they hold the exclusive UK rights to show live premier league matches.

TVU Player – This is a free program that you download that basically turns your computer into an internet TV channel offering a multitude of live streaming television to choose from; news, entertainment, music, movies and of course sport. While not as easy to find individual sporting events and matches as both myp2p and Justin TV, it’s still very useful for the bigger events as it generally offers a higher picture quality.

Liveonlinefooty – While the previous sites offer free online sports streaming, there are many sites that provide a fantastic service for a nominal fee. Liveonlinefooty is the best that I’ve found and it covers all domestic football along with the European competitions, as well as cricket, boxing and UFC, all for just £9 for a 90 day pass or £2 for the one day option. The quality of the coverage on this site are of very good quality with very few breaks, pauses or catch ups in the streams, and if you’re a football fan represents amazing value for money.

The above sites all offer the modern day sports fan a choice his, or her, ancestors daren’t of dreamed of, and though there is some murky legal water to tread through, the unstoppable rise of the internet’s proliferation into our lives can only be of benefit to today’s sports fans.
