Paddy’s was founded in 1988 when 3 Irish bookmakers merged. Since then it’s taken Ireland by storm and has over 50 shops in England to go with its 200+ on home soil. Online they go from strength to strength and base their success on massive (and occasionally controversial) advertising with tongue-in-cheek copy to get punters talking about them. Love them or hate them, it works.

If you have the audacity to win off them they will shut you down very quickly, however.

Paddy’s have a strong brand and it’s clear throughout there website which is a lot more user-friendly than some of the others. Things like “quickbet” and the abundance of checkboxes make punting quick and simple – which is what we all want really. The blurbs on the homepage don’t half rabbit on though.
Paddy’s are allocating a lot of their resources to Novelty & Special bets the site is full of 3rd party and Paddy’s own content with blogs, banter and silly games galore. They do embrace the fun part of betting and have this sector of the market completely cornered- so fair play to them.

Paddy Power has spent a hell of a lot of money to go after your business and if it’s novelties & specials you’re after, this is the place for you. If you’re a big-staking punter who happens to win every now and again- you may be better off somewhere else.
